The Kedron Joey Scouts enjoy an adventure, especially at night time. Our Joey Scouts recently enjoyed a progressive dinner one Saturday night.
Accompanied by our experienced Joey Scout Leaders – Kanga, Kuppi and Karamello - the evening started with an entrée of chips at Chompers. They then progressed to Hungry Jacks for burgers before finishing the night with ice cream at Baskin Robbins.
Topping off the evening, the Joey Scouts slept at the Kedron Scout Den for the night.
Adventures like these are a great way to introduce our youngest Scouting members to spending short periods of time away from their family, boosting their confidence and helping them to become more independent. It's great for preparing them for the longer camps they will enjoy when moving up to Cub Scouts.
For the first time in 28 years of Joey Scouts in Queensland, boys and girls can now become a Joey Scout from the age of 5yo. As soon as they are eligible to start school they can be a Joey Scout.
