Kedron Scout families and friends celebrated Nick Kammin becoming the first Kedron Scout to receive the Australian Scout Medallion, the highest award in scouting.
A dedicated scout from a young age, Nick achieved the Promise Award as a Joey Scout, his Grey Wolf award as a Cub Scout and now the Australian Scout medallion. Moving on to Venturer Scouts, Nick has the Queen’s Scout in his sight.
In addition to being a Venturer Scout, Nick devotes his time to the Cub Scout section as a youth helper. He said Scouts has given him opportunities that he could never imagine and he has made many friends from attending Jamboree and Queensland-wide camps such as Agoonoree
The Australian Scout Medallion can be earned by Scouts who have achieved their Adventurer Cord, and demonstrated their Leadership abilities. Click here to learn more about the different awards in scouting.
