Kedron is very proud to announce their newest Queen’s Scout – Brendan Sydes
The Queen's Scout Award is the highest youth award achievable in the Scouting movement in the Commonwealth, including Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United Kingdom.
It requires a Venturer Scout to complete the requirements in four award areas:
- Adventurous Activities – demonstrates the Venturer Scout is challenged in initiative, expeditions and outdoor adventures.
- Community Involvement – activities centred on citizenship, community service and caring for the environment.
- Leadership Development – involvement in Unit management, leadership courses and studying different vocations.
- Personal Growth – self-development through expressions, ideals, mental pursuits and personal lifestyle.
Each year only a few Venturer Scouts in Queensland, and in Australia, achieve this prestigious award. Brendan joins Kedron’s four other Queen Scouts who have reached this pinnacle.
Congratulations Brendan, you are a shining example of what it means to be a Kedron Scout.
