Kedron Scouts Fire Training

Our Kedron Scouts learnt fire safety with a visit to the Hendra Fire Station.

After a safety briefing, the Scouts took turns to climb aboard the aerial appliance, which reaches a height of 42m.

The aerial appliance is used for multi-storey building rescues and fires, as well as fires that require a large volume of water, such as factory fires.

Did you know....the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service has 242 fire stations, 1,415 volunteer based rural fire brigades (over 36,000 volunteers) and 309 SES groups (5,600 volunteers).

Thank you to the crew at Hendra Station for hosting the visit by Kedron Scout Group.
