Our Kedron Cub Scouts spent a Saturday morning exploring the city and Southbank Parklands as part of an Adventure Day.

Starting at Eagle Junction station, the Cubs took the train to Southbank station before walking to the Maritime Museum on the Brisbane River at the southern end of Southbank Parklands.  There is so much to see at the Museum and our guides Oscar and Russell were fantastic.

It was amazing to go through all the different decks of the HMAS Diamantina. The Cub Scouts were able to explore all different parts of the ship, including the engines and guns.  They also climbed on a model of the Titanic.

After the Maritime Museum, our Cub Scouts enjoyed the Southbank playground before taking the city cat to Riverside.  There was time to play and eat in the Botanical Gardens before making our way to Central Station for the ride home.

It was a fun-packed day full of learning, investigation and friendship.
